A group of ten creative brands from Ondo City have come together to produce a visually striking project inspired by the iconic style of the 1980s, blending nostalgia with rich African identity.
The concept pays homage to an era celebrated for fearless creativity, seen through Afrocentric hairstyles, retro fashion pieces, warm-toned visuals, and thoughtfully selected locations that echo the mood of the time. Every detail was carefully curated to reflect originality, confidence, and cultural pride.

The collaboration features an impressive lineup of creatives, including World Guinness Record attempter Ejibunu Caroline, alongside Mercy Ejibunu-Fadoju, Kuteyi Olusola Malcolm, Orisabunmi Olasegha, Frances O. Akinkuoye, Oyefeso Janet, Mofiyinfoluwa Oguntunsin, Fasuyi Oluwaremilekun Cyril, Peter Omikunle, and Olakanye Olanrewaju.
Brands involved in the project span across beauty, fashion, photography, and event styling. They include Carolaura Hair, Helidiiam Couture, Kayomakeovers, Peteromikunle, Accessories by Apefolaji, Wajuloyaa Photography, Itbobfilms, Fiyinshoots, The BTS Factory, and Elementola Events.

Through this collective effort, the team successfully reimagined 80s fashion and artistic expression, showcasing how African tradition can be powerfully reintroduced through modern visual storytelling.
Speaking on the initiative, Caroline Ejibunu revealed that the project marks the beginning of a larger series of collaborative works by young Nigerian creatives and brand owners based in Ondo.
