OYO APC UNANIMOUSLY ENDORSES PRESIDENT TINUBU FOR 2027 RE-ELECTION
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has officially endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 elections, emphasizing unity, structural consolidation, and strategic mobilisation ahead of the next general election.
The announcement was made on Friday during the Oyo APC Stakeholders’ Summit at the party’s Secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

Senator Teslim Folarin, a two-term senator and Oyo State Ambassador for Renewed Hope, stated that the party aims to build on its 2023 presidential performance, targeting at least a 35 percent increase in votes for President Tinubu in 2027. He underscored that political success hinges on unity, saying, “No political strategy, no matter how brilliant, can succeed in an atmosphere of division. The ‘One APC, One Tinubu Project’ must guide our actions.”

The summit saw participation from several high-profile figures, including Senators Hosea Agboola Alleluyah, Hamzat Adeseun, and Yinus Akintunde; Shittu Adebayo, Akinola Alabi, Dr. Ibrahim Olaifa, Tolulope Akande-Sodipe, Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, Moshood Erubami, Alhaji Fatal Ibikunle, and chairpersons of the 33 local government areas in Oyo State.
Folarin highlighted that the Renewed Hope agenda aligns with President Tinubu’s expectations and requires coordinated mobilisation at all levels of the party. He stressed the importance of active grassroots structures, noting, “Every ward, unit, and community must feel the presence and impact of the APC to consolidate gains and secure an even stronger victory for President Tinubu.”

He also announced that internal disputes within the Oyo APC had been largely resolved, with the party fully prepared to champion Tinubu’s re-election.
Chief Bayo Adelabu, Minister of Power and governorship aspirant, described the summit as the largest APC stakeholders’ assembly since 2023, highlighting the return of peace and cooperation within the party. “Unity, cooperation, and collaboration have fully returned. The Oyo APC is stronger than ever, and reconciliation is already 90 percent complete,” Adelabu said, urging remaining dissenting members to embrace the spirit of peace.

Senators Ayoade Adeseun and Fatai Buhari also called for unity, encouraging party members to settle differences and collectively support Tinubu’s bid for re-election. Former Oyo APC Chairman, Chief Akin Oke, praised the meeting as a symbol of inclusiveness and cooperation.
Remi Oseni, representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, added that the summit aligns with President Tinubu’s reconciliation efforts to reposition the party for a decisive 2027 victory. “If this momentum continues, the 2027 elections will be a walkover. Party members must actively support the summit’s resolutions,” he concluded.
