Former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has warned U.S. President Donald Trump against any military action on Nigeria, saying the country would become America’s “graveyard” if attacked.

In a fiery Facebook live broadcast, Dokubo vowed that U.S. troops would face fierce resistance if they attempted an invasion, following Trump’s recent threats over alleged religious killings in Nigeria.

He described the United States as “a nation of mad people” and called Trump “a lunatic,” accusing him of seeking to dominate other countries. Dokubo also dismissed claims that violence in Nigeria targeted only Christians, stressing that Muslims were equally being killed.
“I’m a Muslim living among non-Muslims. What I am today was made possible by them,” he said, urging Nigerians to stop exaggerating religious divisions.

The Nigerian government has also rejected Trump’s claims, maintaining that the ongoing attacks affect both Christians and Muslims. Public opinion remains split — with some Nigerians supporting Trump’s warning, while others view it as an assault on national sovereignty.
