Senator Adegbonmire Confident of Tinubu’s 2027 Victory, Hosts Mega Empowerment in Ondo
Ondo State – The Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Adeniyi Adegbonmire, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election.
Adegbonmire, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that all federal and state lawmakers from Ondo are working tirelessly to secure the President’s win in the state.
The senator made the declaration on Tuesday during an empowerment event he organised for his constituents, titled the “Adegbonmire Renewed Hope Mega Empowerment Programme”, held in Akure, the state capital.
He said,
“We should not be questioning whether Mr President will win the next election. What we should be discussing is what he will do between 2027 and 2031. His victory is certain. Who is the opposition? I see none. Who is in the ADC? What candidate do they have? Let’s get serious. There is no credible opposition against President Tinubu.”
Empowerment Programme Supports Constituents and Tinubu’s Reelection
Speaking on the purpose of the initiative, Adegbonmire explained that the programme was designed both to give back to his constituents and to bolster support for President Tinubu in Ondo State.
“The President is not coming to Ondo to campaign for himself; we are doing the work here. This initiative supports both the President and our state government. When we succeed, it reflects positively on our government, the President, and our party—the APC,” he said.
The empowerment programme saw the distribution of tricycles, motorcycles, generators, refrigerators, grinding machines, bags of rice, hairdressing equipment, and cash, among other items.
According to the senator, about 900 constituents benefited, including widows, artisans, youths, and persons with disabilities.
“We are providing cash to around 200 individuals, while approximately 650 others received items. This is our way of giving back and responding to the needs of the people,” he stated.
He added that the cash incentives were meant to help beneficiaries reinvest in their businesses.
“As the slogan of this programme says—‘Mega Empowerment for Renewed Hope’—it aligns with the vision of the President. As a senator and APC member, I am committed to supporting Mr. President because I believe in the progress he is delivering,” Adegbonmire reiterated.
