Suspected bandits have abducted a Tiv community leader in Egbe community, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.
According to reports gathered by SaharaReporters, the victim was kidnapped on Thursday while working on his farm at the Aru farm settlement in Egbe.
Sources in the community said the armed men stormed the farm and forcefully took the community leader to an unknown location, leaving residents frightened.

The abduction has increased tension across Yagba West, especially among farmers who depend on their farms for survival but now fear possible attacks by bandits.
The latest incident comes just days after several attacks were reported across communities in the local government area.
A local platform, Egbe Mekun, reported that between March 2 and March 3, suspected bandits carried out a series of attacks in different parts of Yagba West.
In one of the incidents on March 2, a driver identified as Toba Festus was abducted around the Lawiri River area in Odo-Ere.

The following day, gunmen reportedly attacked the Bareke community in Egbe. During the attack, a resident, Juwon Ajisafe, who sustained gunshot wounds, was later confirmed dead.
Also on March 3, another resident identified as Gbenga Akolo from Koro in Kwara State was kidnapped along the Egbe–Koro road, further raising concerns about the worsening security situation around the Yagba axis.
Residents say the abduction of the Tiv leader has deepened fear among villagers, with many now hesitant to return to their farms due to the growing presence of armed bandits in the area.
Community members have called on security agencies and the Kogi State government to urgently strengthen security operations in Yagba West and neighbouring communities to prevent further attacks and safeguard lives and property.
