CHELLE DROPS OSIMHEN, NWABALI AHEAD OF SUPER EAGLES CLASH AGAINST IRAN

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that coach Chelle has selected a 23-man Super Eagles squad ahead of this month’s international friendlies against Iran and Jordan.

The squad, announced on Wednesday, includes key players such as captain Wilfred Ndidi, midfielder Alex Iwobi, and forward Ademola Lookman. The matches, originally scheduled to hold in Amman, Jordan, have now been moved to Antalya, Turkey, due to the outbreak of military conflict in the Middle East.

The Super Eagles will face Iran on Friday, 27th March, with kick-off at 4 pm local time, and Jordan on Tuesday, 31st March, at 8 pm local time.

Chelle’s squad also features Italy-based goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, defender Oluwasemilogo Ajayi, midfielder Frank Onyeka, and forwards Simon Moses, Samuel Chukwueze, Akor Adams, and Paul Onuachu. New call-ups include Scotland-based defender Emmanuel Fernandez, Germany-based forward Philip Otele, and Belgium-based Collins Yira Sor. Greece-based goalkeeper Adeleye Adebayo also returns to the team.
