Super Eagles striker and Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen has revealed plans to venture into football club ownership, targeting teams in both the Turkish and Nigerian leagues.

The 27-year-old made the announcement during a live stream with popular content creator Carter Efe, outlining a long-term post-playing career strategy. Osimhen identified Istanbulspor, a historic Turkish second-division club, as his primary acquisition target.

As part of the plan, he intends to establish or acquire a corresponding club in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to serve as a scouting and development hub. This would provide a direct pathway for promising Nigerian talent to move to European football via Istanbulspor.

“I plan to buy Istanbulspor,” Osimhen said, highlighting his ambition to give back to football and support the next generation of African stars.
With a recent €75 million transfer to Galatasaray, Osimhen has the financial resources to pursue the venture. The move also reflects a growing trend of elite players engaging in multi-club ownership, using their influence to professionalize talent development and create new football pathways.

Analysts note that acquiring a Turkish second-division club offers strategic advantages, including player trading opportunities and broader exposure within European football.
