2027: OYO APC GUBER ASPIRANT PROPOSES CREDIT CULTURE REVOLUTION FOR ARTISANS, TRADERS

Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem, popularly known as AKK and a leading aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket in Oyo State, has unveiled plans to shift the state from reliance on short-term loans to a sustainable credit culture.

AKK emphasized that many small businesses in Oyo struggle not due to lack of ideas, but because of limited access, structure, and opportunity. He vowed to address this through a long-term, technology-driven initiative aimed at financial inclusion and accountability.

Speaking to residents across Oyo State, AKK said, “Too many hardworking men and women wake up daily with dreams, but without the support to bring those dreams to life. What I am proposing is more than loans—it is a system that gives our people a fair chance, promotes responsibility, and opens the door to a prosperous future.”

Central to his plan is the establishment of AKK House, an innovation hub designed to foster technological advancement, skills development, and economic empowerment. Through this initiative, residents and small businesses will access interest-free loans paired with a structured credit system to encourage responsible borrowing, financial literacy, and sustainable growth.

“The system will allow every beneficiary to build a financial identity that rewards discipline, integrity, and commitment. It is how we move from a cycle of dependency to a culture of empowerment,” AKK explained.

He highlighted that the initiative draws inspiration from successful models in advanced economies, aiming to create pathways for larger investments, business expansion, and economic stability. AKK stressed that technology, transparency, and community collaboration will drive the program’s success, ensuring no one is left behind.

Concluding, AKK said, “With technology as our backbone and accountability as our guiding principle, we can build an Oyo State where every citizen has the structure and support to succeed. This is the future within our reach, and with shared commitment, it is inevitable.”
