The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has dismissed reports of security threats within Kuje Area as false and misleading.

In a statement on Thursday, FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said recent online publications claiming security risks around Wowo Garage in Chibiri, Shadadi Village, Shetuko Village, Kango Village, and Passali were untrue.

“Following a detailed investigation, the Command wishes to clearly state that these publications are false, misleading, and originate from mischief makers seeking to spread fear and panic within the community,” the statement read.

Adeh added that while routine patrols and robust deployments are ongoing in the area as a precautionary measure, residents should not interpret these as signs of imminent danger.
The Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Ahmed Sanusi, has deployed personnel across the communities to prevent potential security breaches and reassured residents of their safety. The Command reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property throughout the FCT.

Members of the public were urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or persons to the Command via emergency lines: 08032003913 and 08061581938.
