President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to inaugurate several major projects carried out by the Lagos State Government tomorrow and Thursday, highlighting the administration’s focus on infrastructure, economic growth, and improved public services.

According to Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, the initiatives cover key areas such as transportation, education, public service efficiency, and economic development, reflecting strategic investments across multiple sectors.
Among the projects is the Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge, a 5.04-kilometre road network designed to ease traffic congestion along major corridors including Ojota, Maryland, Mende, Opebi, and Allen in the Ikeja axis. Conceived over two decades ago, the bridge was revived and completed under the current administration to improve connectivity and reduce travel time.

Another project set for inauguration is the Alausa Multi-Agency Complex, a four-block facility that will house multiple government agencies under one roof, aimed at improving inter-agency coordination and enhancing service delivery.
In education, the President will commission the redeveloped Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, comprising 36 schools—31 secondary and five primary—serving approximately 20,000 students over 11.73 hectares. The redevelopment includes new classroom blocks, upgraded structures, an ICT hub, central laboratory, vocational training centre, sports facilities, health centre, and disability-friendly buildings, reflecting the government’s commitment to quality and inclusive education.

Other projects include the Lagos State Geographic Information Service building and a mid-level agro-produce hub along the Lekki-Epe corridor, both intended to address urban challenges, promote economic growth, and improve social welfare.
Omotoso emphasized that the President’s visit underscores cooperation between the federal and state governments and the importance of continuity in governance. He assured residents that arrangements have been made to ensure a secure and smooth visit, including traffic and security measures.

The General Manager of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Bakare-Oki Olalekan, noted that 500 additional personnel will be deployed to manage traffic and minimize disruptions, advising residents to plan their movements accordingly.
“Lagos State is ready to welcome the President and showcase its achievements, reaffirming our commitment to excellence in governance and service delivery,” Omotoso said.
