Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has stated that he will respect whatever decision President Bola Tinubu makes regarding the 2027 Lagos State governorship election, as political consultations and alignments continue within the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at a meeting in Lagos where support for Tinubu’s re-election was also expressed alongside his own governorship ambition, Adediran, leader of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, urged party members to remain united and follow party leadership decisions.
He emphasized that APC candidates would emerge through direct primaries, adding that internal party processes should be respected by all aspirants and their supporters.

Recalling his political journey, including his return from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2023 elections, Adediran said his loyalty remains with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that he would accept any directive from him regarding the 2027 race.
He further noted that consultations must begin from the grassroots level, insisting that party members across wards and local government areas should be actively engaged in the selection process.
At the event, APC chieftain Hakeem Amode praised President Tinubu’s economic reforms, arguing that improvements in revenue allocation, infrastructure development, and debt ratios justify support for his re-election bid.

Another party leader, Ola Apena, described Adediran as a strong youth-oriented candidate with deep grassroots appeal, noting that he represents a bridge between younger voters and established political structures in Lagos.
The meeting also renewed discussions around internal zoning and representation, with supporters highlighting Adediran’s origin from the Badagry area of Lagos State as a factor in his political relevance ahead of 2027.

The gathering concluded with renewed endorsements for Tinubu’s re-election bid and continued backing for Adediran’s governorship ambition, as stakeholders pledged unity within the party ahead of the primaries.
