He said his decision to run is driven by his lifelong connection to Oshodi, noting that his understanding of the area comes from direct experience rather than observation. According to him, this background has shaped his awareness of the everyday struggles of traders, artisans, transport workers, and youths within the constituency.

He explained that his legislative priorities would focus on economic empowerment, infrastructure development, youth engagement, and stronger social protection systems, particularly for vulnerable groups such as the elderly and widows.

The aspirant highlighted his professional background, including eight years of service as a Senior Legislative Aide and later as a Senior Special Assistant in the governor’s office, saying these roles exposed him to both lawmaking processes and policy implementation at the executive level.

He also referenced his experience working within the constituency between 2007 and 2015, where he served as a link between constituents and his principal, describing it as foundational to his understanding of grassroots representation.

On his plans for constituency engagement, he proposed regular town hall meetings, a functional liaison office, digital communication platforms, and ward-based representation systems to strengthen feedback between citizens and lawmakers.

He further said addressing drug abuse would be a key legislative priority, proposing stronger drug education in schools, increased rehabilitation funding, and community-based prevention programmes.

On economic development, he pledged to support legislation that would improve access to credit, reduce tax pressure on small businesses, and upgrade market infrastructure to support traders and entrepreneurs.

He also emphasized strengthening social protection systems to ensure that welfare programmes reach vulnerable citizens effectively and sustainably.

The aspirant aligned his political ideology with progressive governance principles, expressing long-standing loyalty to the political philosophy associated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while noting his involvement in student political mobilisation during his university years.

He concluded by stressing the need for stronger federal presence in Oshodi-Isolo through investments in infrastructure, healthcare, vocational training, and youth development programmes, while also expressing support for state policing under proper constitutional safeguards.
