Sylva, who is listed as the seventh defendant in the case, is reportedly currently at large and is being tried in absentia.

According to sources, the government has engaged the International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL) to track and bring him back to Nigeria to face prosecution.

The move comes as six other defendants are set to be arraigned before the Federal High Court in Abuja over the alleged plot. The case was filed on behalf of the Federal Government by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi.

Those expected in court include retired Major General Mohammed Ibrahim Gana, retired Naval Captain Erasmus Ochegobia Victor, Inspector Ahmed Ibrahim, Zekeri Umoru, Bukar Kashim Goni, and Abdulkadir Sani.

The defendants are scheduled to appear before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik as proceedings begin, while Sylva remains a fugitive according to the allegations.
