APC 2027 BEGINS: PARTY UNVEILS PAYMENT CHANNELS FOR NOMINATION FORM

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a list of approved banks for the payment of expression of interest and nomination forms, in an effort to reduce confusion and ease tensions among its members ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to the party, payments for the forms will now be processed through three financial institutions: Union Bank of Nigeria, United Bank for Africa, and Zenith Bank.

The clarification comes after delays that left many aspirants frustrated, with some unable to access payment details since sales of forms began, raising concerns about the party’s preparedness for its internal election timetable.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, explained that completed forms would be collected at the party’s national secretariat upon confirmation of payment.

One of the aspirants, Osifo Stanley, had earlier expressed frustration over the situation, saying repeated efforts to obtain payment information were unsuccessful, which created anxiety among contestants working under strict deadlines.

Despite the initial challenges, the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, maintained that the party remains committed to its electoral timetable and plans to conclude all primaries within scheduled dates.

Under the revised schedule, the sale of forms runs from April 25 to May 2, 2026, while submission closes on May 4. Screening will take place from May 6 to May 9, with results expected on May 11. Appeals and primaries will follow in phases leading up to the presidential primary on May 23.

Party officials also continue to address concerns around mandatory membership dues required for aspirants.

With the banking details now released, party insiders expect increased activity as aspirants rush to meet the upcoming deadlines.
