Former Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has extended his congratulations to the deputy governor, Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, following his selection as the consensus governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In his message, Ambode described Hamzat’s emergence as a product of wide consultation within the party, noting that it reflects his long-standing loyalty and commitment to the APC’s principles of unity and progress.
He stated that Hamzat’s adoption as the consensus candidate was a recognition of his years of dedication, consistency, and active involvement in party affairs spanning over two decades.

Ambode also reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu, pledging continued backing for his re-election bid, while emphasizing that Lagos State’s progress and Nigeria’s broader development depend on sustained leadership at the federal level.

Looking ahead to the elections, he expressed confidence in the party’s readiness, saying APC members are mobilizing to secure strong victories across Lagos State and the Southwest region.

He further urged party members to intensify efforts to deliver a significant number of votes for the president and ensure strong electoral performance across all levels.
