The party explained that the schedule was designed to ensure transparency, internal democracy, and compliance with electoral regulations.

According to the timetable, completed nomination forms are expected to be submitted between May 11 and May 13, while the screening of aspirants will hold from May 14 to May 15. Screening results are scheduled to be published on May 17.

The party also stated that appeals arising from the screening exercise will be addressed between May 18 and May 19, with the final list of cleared candidates set to be released on May 20.

ADC disclosed that primary elections for State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate positions will take place on May 21 at the ward level. Governorship primaries are slated for May 22, while the presidential primary election will hold on May 25, 2026.

The timetable further revealed that the party’s National Executive Committee meeting will hold on May 26, followed by a Special National Convention on May 27 for final ratifications.

The party also approved nomination fees for aspirants seeking various elective positions. The presidential form was fixed at N100 million, governorship at N50 million, Senate at N20 million, House of Representatives at N10 million, and State House of Assembly at N3 million.

ADC added that youths will enjoy a 50 percent discount on nomination forms, while women and persons living with disabilities will receive a 25 percent concession to encourage wider participation.

The announcement comes shortly after the Supreme Court affirmed Senator David Mark as the recognised national chairman of the party following a prolonged leadership dispute.
