Reports have claimed that Prince Harry has sparked fresh tension within the Royal Family ahead of his expected return to the UK this summer after allegedly presenting a list of demands on behalf of his wife, Meghan Markle.
The Duke of Sussex is expected to visit the UK in July for events linked to the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 and the WellChild awards. It remains unclear whether Meghan will accompany him on the trip.
According to reports, Harry’s requests were aimed at ensuring Meghan is treated respectfully during any potential royal interactions, following previous tensions between the Sussexes and members of the Royal Family.

A source quoted in the report claimed that Harry feels protective of his wife and wants to avoid situations where she could feel criticised or unfairly judged during their visit.
The source also alleged that some senior royals were unhappy with the reported demands, describing them as another example of ongoing friction surrounding the Sussexes’ relationship with the family.
The couple have not returned to the UK together with their children since 2022, when they attended celebrations for the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. They later returned that same year for her funeral.
Despite continued tensions, Harry recently insisted during an interview in Ukraine that he still considers himself committed to public service and humanitarian work, rejecting claims that he is no longer a working royal.
The Duke said he would always remain part of the Royal Family and described his charity and advocacy work as part of the responsibility he was “born to do.”
