SHAKIRA PICKS UGANDA’S GHETTO KIDS FOR FIFA WORLD CUP 2026 FINAL HALFTIME SPECTACLE

Uganda’s Ghetto Kids Invited by Shakira for FIFA World Cup 2026 Half-Time Show

Ugandan dance group, the Ghetto Kids, have received a major international spotlight after being specially invited by global music star Shakira to perform at the FIFA World Cup 2026 finals.

The popular dance troupe, known for their high-energy performances and viral choreography across social media, were singled out by the Colombian singer as part of plans for a global half-time show centred on the official World Cup song titled “Dai Dai.”

Shakira said she had been closely following fan-made dance videos inspired by the song and wanted the final performance to reflect creativity from different parts of the world.

“I have been seeing amazing creations for the official World Cup song ‘Dai Dai,’ and I’m going to need dancers for the half-time show at the finals,” she said.

She added that the performance is intended to be a unifying global moment that celebrates talent from across continents.

“I want that moment to be special to all of us. I want it to be unforgettable,” she said.

The music star further revealed that the Ghetto Kids from Uganda were already among those invited to take part in the show.

“I have already invited the Ghetto Kids from Uganda, but I would really like to see all of your creations and your videos, so keep sending them because I am going to be watching all of them,” she added.

The invitation marks another milestone for the Ugandan group, whose rise from local performances to international recognition has continued to inspire young performers across Africa.
