President Bola Tinubu has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held in Rivers State after securing an overwhelming 280,082 votes.
His only challenger, Stanley Osifo, failed to record any vote in the exercise.
The results were announced on Saturday by the Rivers State Returning Officer for the presidential primary, Siminalayi Fubara, after collating results from the 23 local government areas of the state.
Fubara disclosed that a total of 280,082 votes were cast during the exercise, all of which went to Tinubu.

“After accreditation, we recorded a total of 280,082 votes cast between the two contestants, His Excellency Bola Tinubu and Mr Stanley Osifo,” he said.
“From the tabulated results before me, His Excellency Bola Tinubu scored 280,082 votes, while the other contestant, Mr Stanley Osifo, scored zero.”
Fubara further stated that the results represented the true outcome of the primary election conducted across the state.
“I, Siminalayi Fubara, serving as the State Collation Officer, hereby certify that the information contained in the spreadsheets and forms is the true, correct and accurate summary of results from the 23 local government areas,” he added.
He noted that the result would be forwarded to the national collation centre in Abuja, while also confirming Tinubu as the winner of the Rivers State APC presidential primary.
