The Kebbi State Police Command says it has recorded significant breakthroughs in its fight against crime, including the arrest of suspected terrorists, bandits, informants, and logistics suppliers, as well as the rescue of a kidnapped victim.
The Commissioner of Police, Umar Hadejia, disclosed this during a press briefing in Birnin Kebbi, noting that the achievements were recorded within the last month through intelligence-driven operations and collaboration with other security agencies, vigilantes, and the Civilian Joint Task Force.

He revealed that operatives arrested three suspected members of the Mamudawa/Boko Haram group along the Illo–Lolo Road in Bagudo Local Government Area on June 5, 2026, while allegedly transporting food supplies to criminal groups.
Preliminary investigations reportedly linked the suspects to movements connected to a deadly attack that killed three Federal Road Safety Corps personnel a day earlier.
In a separate operation, four suspected Lakurawa bandits were arrested along the Ka’oje–Bakin Ruwa Road in Bagudo LGA, with investigations ongoing into their alleged involvement in criminal activities within the SODA Forest.

Police also apprehended a suspected logistics supplier accused of providing food and other supplies to Lakurawa terrorists, as well as transporting members to hideouts on multiple occasions.
On June 10, a kidnapped woman, Asmau Isah, was rescued after an attack on her residence in Birnin Kebbi, during which suspects stole cash and mobile phones. One suspect was arrested during the operation while others remain at large.
In another case, a suspected informant linked to bandits was arrested with a firearm and ammunition, while a locally made pistol was recovered from another suspect at a market in Arewa LGA.

The command also recovered a stolen Mercedes-Benz traced to Sokoto State, leading to the arrest of a suspect who has since been handed over to the appropriate authorities for prosecution.
Additionally, police are investigating a case of alleged sexual assault involving a security guard accused of abusing a minor within an Islamic school in Jega LGA.
The Commissioner attributed the successes to improved intelligence gathering, inter-agency cooperation, and community support, urging residents to continue providing credible information to security operatives.

He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to sustaining pressure on criminal networks and ensuring the protection of lives and property across Kebbi State.
