Former Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun Loses Husband
Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, husband of former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has died at the age of 62.
A statement issued by the family said Adeniyi, fondly known as Niyi, passed away in Lagos on August 5.
He is survived by his wife, children and siblings, including Adewale Adeosun, founder of Kuramo Capital.
The family said details of his Christian burial would be announced later.
“Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the assurance of God’s Word: ‘Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord… that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them’ (Revelation 14:13),” the statement read.
The family also appealed for privacy as they mourn their loss and thanked everyone who had reached out with prayers, condolences and support.
Kemi Adeosun served as Nigeria’s Minister of Finance under former President Muhammadu Buhari from 2015 to 2018.
