AMBO WARNS ADELEKE AGAINST STATEMENTS CAPABLE OF FUELING POLITICAL TENSION

Osun State APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), has urged Governor Ademola Adeleke to avoid making comments or taking actions that could create tension ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.

Speaking at a voter education programme in Osogbo, Oyebamiji said political leaders should conduct themselves responsibly and avoid statements that could undermine the electoral process. He also cautioned the governor against making remarks he described as disrespectful to President Bola Tinubu and other APC leaders.

The APC candidate said the party would not accept what it considers insulting or inflammatory comments directed at its members and leadership.

Oyebamiji argued that Adeleke’s recent public statements reflected growing anxiety ahead of the election, claiming they suggested the governor was under pressure as the polls approached.

According to him, the APC has received encouraging support during its campaign tour across the state’s local government areas, expressing confidence that the party would emerge victorious.

“We have visited 27 local government areas, and the response from residents has been overwhelming. Many people have told us they want a new administration led by the APC,” he said.

He maintained that the governor’s recent remarks were a reflection of political uncertainty, insisting that the APC remains optimistic about its chances in the election.
