Re-elected Governor Says Tinubu Congratulated Him, Expresses Disappointment Over Oyebamiji’s Silence.

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has attributed his re-election to an administration he said delivered visible projects across every local government area of the state.
Speaking in his first interview after being declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, Adeleke said the electorate rewarded performance, grassroots engagement and the spread of development beyond traditional political strongholds.
INEC declared the Accord Party candidate winner after he secured 511,067 votes, defeating Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who polled 444,815 votes—a margin of 66,252 votes.
Adeleke won 19 local government areas, while Oyebamiji carried 11.
“The reason for our success is that we touched every local government with projects,” Adeleke said, presenting the result as a verdict on his administration’s record.
The governor thanked God for what he described as divine favour and grace, breaking into a song of thanksgiving as supporters celebrated around him.
Adeleke also disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had telephoned to congratulate him on his victory. He, however, expressed disappointment that Oyebamiji had yet to make a similar call.
The governor’s statement concerning the calls represents his account at the time of the interview. No separate public confirmation from the Presidency or Oyebamiji was immediately available.
The victory gives Adeleke a second term and strengthens Accord’s control of Osun despite a determined challenge from the ruling APC.
For the governor, however, the result carries an obligation beyond celebration: Osun voters have renewed his mandate, and the projects he credited for his victory must now translate into deeper development across all 30 councils.
