Prince Harry Plans More Frequent UK Visits as He Seeks to Rebuild Ties With Royal Family
The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, is reportedly planning to make more frequent trips to the United Kingdom as he looks to rebuild his relationship with members of the Royal Family following his recent private meeting with King Charles III.
According to reports, Harry is considering returning to the UK every few months after what has been described as a positive family reunion with his father last month.
The 41-year-old prince is said to be keen to strengthen his connections with his British-based charitable organisations and increase his involvement ahead of the upcoming Invictus Games.
A source close to Harry reportedly said the arrangement used during his recent UK visits had worked well and that he was expected to travel back and forth more regularly, particularly as preparations for the Invictus Games intensify.
“The template for his visits has been working well, so the frequency of trips will increase, especially in the run-up to Invictus,” the source said.
The source added that Harry would be returning to Britain “every few months” and suggested that he wanted to establish a stronger presence in the country.
The reported change in approach also comes as Harry appears to be seeking to reduce the amount of time and attention devoted to his ongoing legal disputes in the UK.
The Duke has been involved in several legal battles, including his long-running challenge over his security arrangements when visiting Britain.
Instead, he is reportedly hoping to focus more on his charitable work, the Invictus Games and maintaining relationships with his family.
Harry expected to return to UK in September
Harry is reportedly expected to return to Britain as early as September for a week-long visit centred largely on his charity commitments.
The planned trip follows a private meeting with King Charles in July, which marked another opportunity for father and son to spend time together.
Reports surrounding the meeting have suggested that Harry is eager to maintain contact with his family and gradually rebuild relationships that have become strained in recent years.
The Duke’s relationship with the Royal Family has faced significant difficulties since he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped back from their senior royal duties and relocated to the United States.
His subsequent interviews, documentary appearances and memoir also revealed details about disagreements within the family, further deepening tensions.
However, the reported increase in Harry’s UK visits could signal a renewed effort to maintain family connections while also strengthening his ties to causes and organisations in Britain.
With the next Invictus Games approaching, Harry is expected to spend more time in the UK as part of his preparations for the event, which remains one of his major long-term projects.
