The report is confirmed. Governor Ademola Adeleke, following his victory in the Osun governorship election, praised President Bola Tinubu for supporting what he described as a free and fair election. He also reaffirmed his earlier endorsement of Tinubu for a second term in 2027, calling the President “a son of Osun State.”
Adeleke won 511,067 votes, defeating APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes. Adeleke won 19 of the state’s 30 LGAs, while Oyebamiji won 11.
The endorsement has already attracted a reaction from Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo, who thanked Adeleke and said: “Agreement is agreement.”
