Queen Camilla Enjoys Family Shopping Trip in Scottish Village
Queen Camilla enjoyed a relaxed family day out on Monday as she went shopping with her daughter, grandchildren and sister in the picturesque Scottish village of Ballater.
Dressed casually in jeans, a blue shirt, a navy jumper and a parka jacket, the Queen appeared in a relaxed mood as she explored the village, located less than eight miles from Balmoral Castle.
Camilla and her sister were seen carrying small paper bags after visiting A.B. Yule, a local shop that operates as a bookshop, newsagent and toy store. The pair later continued along the village’s high street with Camilla’s daughter, Laura Lopes, 48, and her 18-year-old granddaughter, Eliza Lopes, walking behind them.
The group also stopped at clothing store Kt Boutique, where the women emerged carrying several shopping bags. Camilla appeared particularly cheerful as she left the shop with two additional bags in her hands.
Two plain-clothes police protection officers accompanied the royal family during the outing.
Camilla’s 16-year-old twin grandsons, Gus and Harry Lopes, also joined the shopping trip. However, the teenagers appeared to return directly to the waiting car after briefly visiting the newsagents.
The informal outing offered the Queen an opportunity to spend quality time with her family while enjoying a quiet afternoon away from her official royal duties.
