Gunmen who abducted former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga (rtd.), are demanding a ₦250 million ransom for his release.

According to family sources, the assailants stormed Tsiga’s residence late Wednesday night, with over 100 armed men surrounding the property.
As they began breaking down doors, the retired general confronted them to ask about their intentions but was immediately taken hostage along with nine other residents.
Security Agencies Yet to Respond
So far, there has been no official statement from the 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Katsina or the police regarding the abduction.
The incident has sparked growing concerns over the rising wave of kidnappings across Nigeria, particularly targeting high-profile individuals.
