The African Democratic Congress in Borno State has announced its strong determination to contest and secure victory in all elective positions during the 2027 general elections.
This declaration was made in Maiduguri by the state chairman of the party, Alhaji Kolo Bukar, shortly after the inauguration of newly elected state executives.
He stated that the party is fully prepared to understand the political landscape of the state and deliver leadership focused on development and relief for citizens. He further criticized the current administration, accusing it of failing to address insecurity and economic hardship in the state and across the country.
According to him, the party aims to introduce what he described as effective governance that would improve living conditions and tackle pressing challenges faced by residents.
Another party leader, Alhaji Kashim Matawalle, also emphasized that the party’s mission goes beyond winning elections, stressing the need to establish a government that prioritizes security, poverty reduction, and social welfare.
He added that their goal is to bring meaningful change at both the state and national levels through better governance.
