APC DENIES INTERNAL CRISIS, MASS RESIGNATIONS IN ENUGU

The Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports suggesting internal crisis within the party, including claims of mass resignations and unpaid delegates’ allowances, describing them as false and misleading.

In a statement released on Sunday by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Uche Obute, the APC said there was no unrest among delegates who attended its recent national convention, insisting that the allegations were fabricated by individuals seeking to create confusion within the party.

The party also rejected claims of member dissatisfaction and alleged marginalisation, stating that its structure in Enugu State has instead been strengthened under the leadership of Governor Peter Mbah, who it said has promoted inclusiveness across party ranks.

According to the party, Enugu has become a strong base for the All Progressives Congress, with elected officials at various levels—including National Assembly members, State Assembly members, local government chairmen, and councillors—aligned with its leadership structure.

The statement further highlighted that both longstanding and newly joined members are fully integrated into party leadership positions across wards, local governments, and state levels, citing figures such as Zonal Woman Leader (South-East), Oby Ajih, and Deputy National Chairman (South), Ben Nwoye.

Reaffirming unity under State Chairman Martin Chukwunweike, the party urged the public to disregard what it called sponsored misinformation, insisting that its internal cohesion remains strong ahead of future elections.
