APC DISOWNS CIRCULATING 2027 FORM PRICE LIST, CALLS IT FALSE

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked reports claiming it has fixed prices for expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The rumour, which circulated widely, alleged that presidential aspirants would be required to pay ₦200 million for nomination forms, while those contesting for state assembly seats would pay ₦20 million.

However, the party described the claims as false and misleading, stressing that no such decision has been made.

In a statement, the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, clarified that the alleged price list did not originate from the party.

He said the report was entirely fabricated and should be disregarded, noting that the party has not discussed or approved any pricing for the 2027 election forms.

Morka emphasised that no official announcement has been made regarding the sale or cost of nomination forms, describing the report as baseless and misleading.

The party urged members, the media, and the general public to ignore the claims.

Meanwhile, the APC recently concluded its 8th National Convention, where members of the National Working Committee (NWC) were elected through a consensus arrangement.

Nentawe Yilwatda emerged as the party’s National Chairman, while Surajudeen Basiru was elected as National Secretary. Other key officials, including Felix Morka as Publicity Secretary and Dayo Israel as Youth Leader, also retained or assumed their positions.

The convention, held at Eagle Square in Abuja, brought together top party leaders, including President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, APC governors, lawmakers, and other stakeholders.
