#Bayelsa Welcomes FG Contractors for Nembe-Brass Road Phase 2

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, welcomed the Chairman of AIL Infrastructure Limited, Mr. Abiodun Otunola, and his team at the Government House, Yenagoa, as they prepared to commence work on the second phase of the Nembe-Brass Road project.

Governor Diri Appreciates FG’s Support

Governor Diri expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the continuation of the road project, describing it as a major milestone for Bayelsa’s infrastructure and economic development.

“This project reaffirms Mr. President’s commitment to national growth and inclusion. The people of Bayelsa deeply appreciate this milestone,” he stated.

The governor emphasized that the Nembe-Brass Road vision dates back over 60 years, and its realization would enhance connectivity, stimulate economic growth, and unlock Bayelsa’s access to the Atlantic Ocean. He also acknowledged the state government’s initial efforts in launching the project despite its significant financial demands.

  • Chief of Staff, Dr. Peter Akpe
  • Commissioners, House of Assembly Members, and Traditional Rulers

Also present were King Bubaraye Dakolo (Chairman, Bayelsa State Council of Traditional Rulers), Hon. Lucky Febo (Brass LGA Chairman), and Hon. David Alagoa (Nembe LGA Chairman), among other top government officials.

With the Federal Government’s backing, the commencement of Phase 2 of the Nembe-Brass Road marks a significant step toward improved infrastructure and economic expansion in Bayelsa State.
