#Bello El-Rufai Breaks Silence on Rift Between Father and Gov. Sani

Muhammad Bello El-Rufai, a House of Representatives member for Kaduna North and son of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has expressed his unhappiness over the strained relationship between his father and Governor Uba Sani.

Speaking in an interview with BBC Hausa, Bello acknowledged that both men had played important roles in his life but clarified that reconciling them was not his responsibility.

“It’s Not My Fight”

Despite being personally affected by the situation, Bello emphasized that his primary duty was to serve the people of Kaduna North, rather than mediating between his father and the governor.

“Even if someone is my enemy, I wouldn’t want to see them fighting with another enemy of mine. I want peace.”

He dismissed the ongoing feud as exaggerated, stating that neither his father nor Governor Sani had spoken to him directly about any dispute.

“People Enjoy Seeing Conflicts”

Bello compared the political drama to a Bollywood movie, where people enjoy watching conflict unfold between big personalities like Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra.

He also reflected on how relationships evolve, drawing parallels with friendships and marriages that fall apart over time.

“Life changes. Marriages break, friendships end, but that doesn’t mean conflicts should be left unresolved.”

While he remains uncertain about the true nature of the rift, Bello reiterated his stance: he will not engage in social media battles unless necessary.

For now, his focus remains on delivering quality representation to the people of Kaduna North.
