Several people have been reported dead and many others injured following a fresh attack by bandits on the Gatawa community in Sabon-Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

Local sources who spoke with Sahara Reporters said the attackers invaded the community on Saturday in large numbers, shooting indiscriminately and causing panic as residents fled for safety.
Authorities have not yet released official casualty figures.

This incident adds to the ongoing wave of violent attacks in parts of Sokoto State, heightening concerns over worsening security conditions in the region.
