CHIEF ADEKUNLE OJORA JOINS HIS ANCESTORS AT 93YEARS, INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAYHI  RAJI’UN.

The Ojora family of Lagos State has announced the death of their revered patriarch, Otunba Adekunle Ojora, the Olori Omo Oba of Lagos, who passed away in the early hours of Wednesday at the age of 93.

In a statement issued and signed by Mrs Toyin Ojora-Saraki, the family said his passing occurred in complete submission to the will of Almighty Allah (SWT).

The family disclosed that Otunba Ojora would be laid to rest in Lagos in accordance with Islamic traditions and called on members of the public to remember him in their prayers.

The statement read in part, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. With total submission to the will of Almighty Allah (SWT), the Ojora family announces the return of our beloved patriarch, Otunba Adekunle Ojora, the Otunba of Lagos and Lisa of Ife, to his Creator in the early hours of today.

“We give thanks to Allah for a life well spent and submit to His words: ‘Surely to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return’ (Qur’an 2:156).”

It further stated that the late traditional chief, who lived to the age of 93, would be buried in Lagos following Islamic rites. He is survived by his wife, Erelu Ojolape Ojora, as well as his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The family appealed to the public to pray for Allah’s mercy upon the deceased and for his admission into Aljannah Firdaus.
