Ex-Minister Kennedy-Ohanenye Backs Tinubu’s Re-Election, Targets 10 Million Supporters

Former Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has thrown her weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, describing his leadership as visionary, courageous, and deeply committed to national transformation.

In a statement released on Friday and signed by her spokesperson, Musa Abdulrahman, Kennedy-Ohanenye said her support is rooted in belief—not politics.

“My commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not merely political; it is a deep-seated conviction born from observing his visionary leadership, his unwavering dedication to national progress, and his genuine commitment to improving the lives of every Nigerian,” she said.

The former minister acknowledged the tough challenges Tinubu’s administration inherited but praised his achievements so far, especially in the areas of economic reform, national security, and social welfare.

“From economic reforms aimed at sustainable growth to targeted interventions in security and welfare, President Tinubu has demonstrated firm resolve and leadership,” she added.

Kennedy-Ohanenye also announced the revival of her grassroots mobilisation initiative, Naija Save Naija 2027, aimed at rallying 10 million Nigerians to support Tinubu’s second-term bid.

According to her, the group was instrumental in mobilising support during the 2023 elections—especially among persons with disabilities and vulnerable populations—and will now scale its efforts nationwide.

“Our target of 10 million Nigerians is not just a number; it reflects a nationwide declaration of confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and a mandate for him to continue driving Nigeria’s progress,” she stated.

She said the renewed campaign would reach across all sectors of society—women, youth, traders, professionals, farmers, and underserved groups—in all 36 states and the FCT.

Calling on citizens to support the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Kennedy-Ohanenye described it as a detailed roadmap for long-term development.

“President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan; it is a living, working blueprint for progress. I have full confidence in his ability to deliver lasting change,” she concluded.
