FLASH: Three Pastors Kidnapped Following Crusade, Abductors Demand N20 Million

Three Pastors Abducted in Kogi State After Crusade

Three pastors were abducted by gunmen in Ejule, Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State, on Monday, January 20, 2025, shortly after ministering at a local crusade.

The incident occurred around 11:00 PM as the pastors were returning from the “Ejule Gospel Crusade” along the Ejule-Ofakaga-Anyigba Road.

One of the abducted pastors, Evangelist Gabriel Onaji, was a guest minister at the three-day event hosted by Evangelist Sunday Oguche, president of God’s Care Missions, Okpo.

Sources suggest that Evangelist Oguche may have been the intended target of the kidnapping. He reportedly avoided abduction by staying overnight in Anyigba instead of Ejule.

The pastors’ vehicle was later discovered abandoned in Ofakaga village.

The kidnappers are demanding a N20 million ransom for the release of the three pastors, according to Ayefu John, a resident who attended the crusade.

Williams Aya, spokesperson for the Kogi State Police Command, stated he was unaware of the incident but would investigate further.
