I MADE A MISTAKE NOT SUPPORTING TINUBU EARLIER’: CUBANA CHIEF PRIEST SPILLS

Celebrity businessman and socialite Cubana Chief Priest has publicly admitted that not supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the last general election was a mistake, as he announced a new political stance focused on working with the federal government.

Speaking at a political gathering in Imo State, the nightlife entrepreneur said the event represented an important moment after weeks of planning, describing it as a show of unity and renewed support for the current administration.

According to him, years of political resistance had not produced the expected results, leading to a shift in strategy among some supporters.

“We have decided to partner with the government at the centre. We are not ready to fight. We tried fighting and it didn’t work for us,” he said.

Cubana Chief Priest also praised the governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, for maintaining strong ties with the federal government, noting that the cooperation has helped attract development projects to the state.

He further commended Seyi Tinubu, describing him as a unifying figure who has helped strengthen relationships across different ethnic and regional groups.

Reflecting on the previous election, the entertainer—who currently serves as the South-East director of the City Boy Movement—said he once opposed Tinubu but now believes that decision was politically misguided.

“Politics is a game. We don’t want to lose again and we will never waste our votes again,” he said.

He also claimed that the growing support around the president could evolve into one of the largest political movements in Nigeria, promising greater mobilisation ahead of future elections.

Cubana Chief Priest concluded by offering prayers for Tinubu’s success in office and encouraged Nigerians to embrace unity, cooperation, and partnership as the country moves forward.
