The Inspector-General of Police, Olutunji Disu, has approved a new round of postings for several Commissioners of Police across the country, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The directive, classified as “Most/Immediate,” was issued via an internal wireless message from Force Headquarters in Abuja, instructing all units to update their records accordingly.

Earlier reports had indicated that Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, the then-Lagos State Commissioner of Police, was set for promotion to Assistant Inspector General (AIG). Tijani Fatai, then Commissioner of Police for the Eastern Ports Command, was tipped as a likely replacement for Jimoh in Lagos, reportedly enjoying support from Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
A source within the police told reporters, “Moshood Jimoh is set to be promoted on Tuesday. Meanwhile, he is lobbying to head Zone 2 in Lagos. Mr Tijani Fatai has been penciled down for Lagos, supported by Lagos governor. They will be promoted and decorated on the same day.”
