Arise News Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, Nduka Obaigbena, is set to lead the network’s team in covering two major global events: the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump in Washington, D.C., and the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
According to a statement released by Arise News, Obaigbena has already arrived in Washington, D.C., to oversee the station’s comprehensive coverage of Trump’s swearing-in as the 47th President of the United States on January 20, 2024.
The coverage team includes prominent Arise News correspondents such as Ohi Odiai, Adefemi Akinsanya (joining from Turkey), and Opeyemi Adenihun. The station has pledged to provide Nigerians with in-depth reporting on the historic event, including both the main proceedings and behind-the-scenes developments.
Additionally, Obaigbena will lead the Arise News team to Davos for the World Economic Forum. The station’s lineup for this event includes seasoned anchors Rotus Oddiri, Adesuwa Omoruan, and Ivica Babic, who are already on-site to report on discussions among global business leaders and policymakers.
