Oando Plc has announced the appointment of three new Independent Non-Executive Directors to its board, effective as of late November and December 2024. The new appointees include Mr. Cosmas Iwueze, Mr. Ken Igbokwe, and Mr. Bashir Bello, who bring extensive experience across various sectors, particularly in oil and gas.
Iwueze, who assumed his position on December 16, 2024, is a seasoned petroleum engineer with over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has held key roles with Chevron Nigeria Limited, including Director of the NNPC/Chevron Joint Venture, where he managed significant assets and projects. Igbokwe, appointed on November 25, 2024, is a highly experienced management professional with a strong background in oil and gas, financial services, and public sector consulting.
He led PwC Nigeria’s growth during his tenure and has expertise in corporate governance and strategy. Bello, who also took his role in November 2024, has over 32 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specializing in operations, engineering, and corporate governance. He has served on various industry boards, including Shell Petroleum Development Company.
These appointments aim to bolster Oando’s leadership and drive continued growth in the competitive energy sector.
