REV DACHOMO VOWS TO TAKE EVIDENCE OF PLATEAU CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE TO TRUMP.

The Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) for Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has said he is prepared to personally submit what he described as evidence of a sustained campaign against Christians in the state to United States President Donald Trump.

In a video shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, the cleric said he possesses documented facts which, according to him, contradict the Nigerian government’s position that Christians are not being deliberately targeted by armed groups in Plateau State.

Rev. Dachomo disclosed that he has formally sought an audience with U.S. authorities and plans to travel to the United States once approval is granted. He said his intention is to brief President Trump and members of the U.S. Congress on what he alleged were coordinated attacks on Christian communities in Plateau State.

“By God’s grace, I am planning to meet President Donald Trump face to face with all the evidence and facts of Christian genocide in Plateau State,” he said in the video. “I have all the facts before me. I want to present details of the lands that have been forcefully taken over.”

The cleric criticised what he described as persistent denial by the Nigerian government and some Christian leaders regarding the nature of the violence in Plateau State and other parts of the country. He argued that available data shows Christians are being disproportionately affected.

According to him, more than 7,000 Christians have allegedly been killed within the first 220 days of 2025, a figure he described as deeply troubling. He also claimed that several communities have been overrun, with homes allegedly converted into camps by armed groups.

Appealing directly to the former U.S. president, Rev. Dachomo said international intervention was urgently needed to address the situation. He urged Trump to use his influence to help confront what he called terrorism and land seizures that have displaced many residents and restricted access to large areas of Plateau State.
