Given her parents’ unwavering love for Nigeria, Kemi’s disparaging remarks and alleged experiences in Nigeria are not only unfounded but also a stark contradiction to her family’s legacy. Those close to her assert that her allegations are fabricated, possibly stemming from unresolved psychological issues.
We join in calling for an independent investigation into Kemi Badenoch’s claims about Nigeria. Such an inquiry would establish the truth and prevent further damage to Nigeria’s image. Her narrative risks undermining the progress made by Nigerians worldwide and casting unjust aspersions on the country.
It is time for Kemi to reflect on the values her parents upheld and the impact of her words. Public figures have a responsibility to present balanced, truthful accounts, especially when addressing their heritage. Nigerians at home and abroad deserve respect and fairness in her discourse.
