The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended Kosisochukwu Ogumbo from Okota, Lagos, over an alleged bomb threat sent to two schools located in Ikeja Government Reserved Area (GRA) last week.
In a separate operation, the police also arrested eight suspected members of the notorious “One Chance” robbery gang, recovering four vehicles reportedly used in their criminal activities across the state.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, confirmed the arrests during a press briefing at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja.
According to CP Jimoh, on January 20, 2026, at around 4:00 p.m., the Human Resources Manager and Chief Security Officer of the targeted schools reported receiving threatening WhatsApp messages from an unidentified number. The messages claimed that explosive devices had been planted within the school premises.
The police have since launched further investigations into the matter.
