While the Nigerian Police Force has made commendable efforts to apprehend these offenders, they must intensify their crackdown, dismantle syndicates, and establish hotlines for victims. Prosecution and strict punishment are necessary to deter others from following this path.
It is disheartening that many perpetrators are undergraduates misusing their education. This trend must be urgently addressed to restore the reputation of Nigerian youths as contributors to progress, not detractors. Let us act now to end this menace.
