🌙 Friday Jumu’ah Prayers & Duas – 13th June 2025

1. Surah Al-Kahf (Recommended Sunnah)

It is Sunnah to recite Surah Al-Kahf on Fridays.

“Whoever reads Surah Al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.”
(Narrated by Al-Hakim; authenticated by Al-Albani)

🕋 Jumu’ah Duas (Supplications)

2. Dua for Mercy and Forgiveness

> اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي كُلَّهَا، دِقَّهَا وَجِلَّهَا، وَأَوَّلَهَا وَآخِرَهَا، وَعَلانِيَتَهَا وَسِرَّهَا
Allāhumma ighfir lī dhunūbī kullahā, diqqahā wa jillahā, wa awwalahā wa ākhirahā, wa ‘alāniyatahā wa sirrahā.
O Allah, forgive me all of my sins – the minor and the major, the first and the last, the public and the private.

3. Dua for Protection from Evil and Trials

> اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ جَهْدِ الْبَلَاءِ، وَدَرَكِ الشَّقَاءِ، وَسُوءِ الْقَضَاءِ، وَشَمَاتَةِ الْأَعْدَاءِ
Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min jahdil-balāʾ, wa darkish-shaqāʾ, wa sūʾil-qaḍāʾ, wa shamātatil-aʿdāʾ.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from severe trials, from misery, from a bad fate, and from the rejoicing of enemies.

4. Dua for Provision and Peace

> اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
Allāhumma akfinī bi-ḥalālika ‘an ḥarāmik, wa aghninī bifaḍlika ‘amman siwāk.
O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful instead of what You have made unlawful, and make me independent of all others besides You.

5. Salawat on the Prophet ﷺ

> اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ…
Recite Salawat frequently on Fridays.
Each Salawat earns ten blessings, removes ten sins, and raises your rank.

🌟 Special Reflections for This Friday

Ask Allah for ease in hardship, stability in the nation, and peace in your heart.

Pray for those facing trials, the oppressed, and those who passed away.

Make personal duas during the hour of acceptance—last hour before Maghrib on Friday.

> يَا رَبِّ فِي يَوْمِ الجُمُعَةِ، اجْعَلْ لِي نَصِيبًا مِن كُلِّ خَيْرٍ تُنْزِلُهُ، وَارْزُقْنِي نُورًا فِي الْقَلْبِ، وَرَاحَةً فِي النَّفْسِ، وَذِكْرَكَ فِي كُلِّ أَوْقَاتِي
Ya Rabb, on this blessed Friday, grant me a portion of every good You bestow, light in my heart, peace in my soul, and Your remembrance in all moments of my life.

When They Ask About Hajj, Say: It’s a Sacred Journey of a Lifetime*

Allah Most High says:

*” … And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka‘bah ) is a duty that mankind owes to Allah, those who can afford the expenses (for one’s conveyance, provision and residence); and whoever disbelieves [i.e. denies Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah), then he is a disbeliever of Allah], then Allah stands not in need of any of the ‘alameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists).”*

Surah Aal-Imran (3) ayah 97

And it was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: *“Hasten to do Hajj – meaning the obligatory Hajj – for none of you knows what will happen to him.”* Narrated by Imam Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him), 1/314; classed as hasan by al-Albani in Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, 990.

*NOTES 📝*

1. al-Hafidh Ibn Kathir stated in his commentary of Surah Aal-Imran ayah 97 that this Ayah established the obligation of performing Hajj. There are many Hadiths that mention it as one of the pillars and fundamentals of Islam, and this is agreed upon by the Muslims. According to texts and the consensus of the scholars, it is only obligatory for the adult Muslim to perform it once during his lifetime. – Tafsir Ibn Kathir

2. The Prophet ﷺ also said in a related hadith: “ *Whoever wants to do Hajj, let him hasten to do it.*” Narrated by Imam Ahmad, Abu Dawood and Ibn Maajah. According to a version narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Maajah: “ *…for he may fall sick or be faced with some need.*” Classed as hasan by al-Albani in Sahih Ibn Maajah.

3. Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The correct view is that it must be done straight away and it is not permissible for a person who is able to go on Hajj to the Sacred House of Allah to delay it. The same applies to all the duties enjoined by shari’ah: if there is no set time or reason, they must be done immediately. – Fataawa Ibn ‘Uthaymeen

*O Allah, accept the Hajj of the pilgrims, forgive their sins, and return them safely. Aid Islam and the Muslims world over. Grant us good in this life and the Hereafter, and save us from the Fire. Ãmeen*

Today is 11th Dhul-Qa’dah, one of the four sacred months in Islam, and it coincides with Jumu’ah (Friday)—a double blessing. Here are special prayers, duas, and hadiths for today:

1. Significance of Dhul-Qa’dah:

Dhul-Qa’dah is the first of the four sacred months mentioned in the Qur’an (Surah At-Tawbah 9:36).
It is a time of peace, preparation for Hajj, and increased reflection.

> Allah says: “Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve… of which four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them…”
— Qur’an 9:36

2. Jummat Du’a for Today (10th Dhul-Qa’dah):

Transliteration:
Allahumma aj‘alna min ‘ibādika aṣ-ṣāliḥīn, waffiqnā limā tuḥibbu wa tarḍā, waghfir lanā mā maḍā, wa bārik lanā fī hādhā ash-shahr al-ḥarām, wa ballighnā Dhul-Ḥijjah wa naḥnu fī ‘āfiyatin wa īmān.

Translation:
O Allah, make us among Your righteous servants, guide us to what You love and are pleased with, forgive our past, bless us in this sacred month, and let us reach Dhul-Hijjah in good health and faith.

3. Hadith for Friday (Jummat):

The Prophet (SAW) said:
“On Friday, there is a moment when if a Muslim happens to be standing in prayer and asking Allah for something, He will grant it to him.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari, 5295

> Tip: Try to make heartfelt du‘a between Asr and Maghrib—the most likely time of that special hour.

4. Hadith on Sacred Months:

The Prophet (SAW) said:
“The year is twelve months, of which four are sacred: three consecutive months—Dhul-Qa’dah, Dhul-Hijjah, and Muharram—and Rajab…”
— Sahih al-Bukhari

5. Recommended Actions Today:

Recite Surah Al-Kahf (Chapter 18)

Send abundant salawat (salutations) on the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Make dua for forgiveness, blessings, and guidance

Reflect and prepare spiritually for Dhul-Hijjah and Hajj season.

Two powerful Hadiths for today’s Jummat (Friday) reflection:

1. On the Virtue of Jumu’ah (Friday):

The Prophet (SAW) said:
“The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created, on it he was made to enter Paradise, on it he was expelled from it, and the Last Hour will take place on no day other than Friday.”
— Sahih Muslim, 854

2. On Sending Salawat on the Prophet (SAW) on Fridays:

The Prophet (SAW) said:
“Increase your supplications for me on Friday, for your supplications are presented to me.”
— Abu Dawood, 1531

Reflection:
Friday is not just a day of prayer—it’s a day of renewal, forgiveness, and multiplied blessings. Use it to make du’a, read Surah Al-Kahf, give charity, and send peace and blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Jummat Prayer (Du’a) for Friday:

Allahumma inni as’aluka khayra ma fi hadha al-yawm, wa khayra ma ba’dahu, wa a’udhu bika min sharri ma fi hadha al-yawm, wa sharri ma ba’dahu.

Translation:
O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this day and the goodness that comes after it. I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil that comes after it.

Additional Supplication:
Ya Allah, on this blessed Friday, forgive our sins, open for us the doors of mercy, grant us peace in our hearts, barakah in our homes, and success in our endeavours. Strengthen our Iman and guide our leaders with wisdom and justice. Ameen.
