#Trump Reportedly Eyes Morocco, Puntland, and Somaliland for Gazan Relocation

Former U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly considering Morocco, Puntland, and Somaliland as potential locations for the resettlement of Gazan refugees, according to a report by N12 on Wednesday.

Why These Locations?

The report highlights that these three areas share a strong need for U.S. support:

  • Somaliland and Puntland seek international recognition.
  • Morocco is engaged in a territorial dispute over Western Sahara.

Trump’s plan follows his remarks to The Jerusalem Post, where he suggested that Jordan and Egypt would not refuse his request to accept Gazan refugees, stating, “They won’t tell me no. I want to remove all the residents of Gaza. It will happen.”

A ‘Fresh’ Land for Gazans?

In a previous statement, Trump expressed his belief that the Gaza situation has never worked and proposed relocating its residents to a newly developed area.

“I think they should get a good, fresh, beautiful piece of land. We get some people to put up the money to build it, make it nice, and make it habitable and enjoyable,” he said.

The report comes amid ongoing debates over Gaza’s future, with international concerns about displacement and sovereignty.
