A Nigerian woman based in the United Kingdom, Omotayo Abioye, has passed away after battling breast cancer, leaving her family and loved ones in deep sorrow.
She died on April 5 at the age of 40, according to a family statement shared publicly, which described her as a loving mother, devoted wife, and warm-hearted individual who positively impacted those around her.
Her relatives said she fought the illness with courage and resilience, remaining strong in faith throughout her medical journey. She is survived by three children aged 11, 9, and 7.
The family has now appealed to the public for financial assistance, both in Nigeria and abroad, to support her burial arrangements and help cater for the welfare of her children as they adjust to life without their mother. A fundraising effort has already been initiated, with contributions being received toward the set target.
They expressed gratitude for prayers and support, noting that any assistance would go a long way in honoring her memory and easing the burden on the family.
