The United States Department of State has issued a global security advisory, urging Americans to remain vigilant due to potential threats from Iran-affiliated groups.

Officials have advised U.S. citizens, particularly those in the Middle East, to exercise heightened caution and to adhere to the guidance provided by their nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. Travel disruptions may occur as some airspaces could be periodically closed, and U.S. diplomatic facilities around the world have previously been targeted.

Authorities caution that groups supporting Iran may seek to strike American interests or locations associated with U.S. citizens internationally.
The advisory follows heightened tensions in the region, with Iranian military sources warning that popular tourist destinations could become targets amid ongoing confrontations involving the U.S. and Israel. Recent missile attacks have reportedly hit locations in Dubai and Israel, while a projectile struck the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, damaging a helipad on the compound.

Iran has also signaled that it may take aggressive actions against energy infrastructure and financial institutions linked to the U.S. if certain threats are carried out.
The ongoing conflict, which escalated after coordinated airstrikes on Iranian military sites in February 2026, has resulted in significant casualties, including thousands in Iran and both military and civilian losses in the U.S. and Israel.
