Residents of Bargaja village in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State have reportedly abandoned their homes following repeated attacks by bandits linked to Bello Turji.
Many families are relocating to nearby communities in search of safety, with villagers seen leaving in groups, carrying their belongings as they move away from the area.
Security analysts note that the exodus continues despite Ramadan fasting, as the community faces daily threats from armed bandits, resulting in multiple killings and kidnappings.
Eyewitnesses report large numbers of civilians leaving the village amid growing fear and insecurity. The attacks have caused repeated loss of lives and heightened tension among residents.
Efforts to obtain comments from the Sokoto State Police Command were unsuccessful.
