Kano – Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano North Senatorial District have reiterated their commitment to delivering decisive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, in the 2027 general elections.

The declaration came during a stakeholders’ meeting convened by Senator Barau on Saturday in Kano, bringing together party leaders, elected officials, and grassroots politicians to consolidate unity and plan strategies for the next elections.
According to Ismail Mudashir, Special Adviser to the Deputy President of the Senate on Media and Publicity, Senator Barau said the meeting aimed to strengthen internal cohesion and solidify Kano North as a stronghold of the APC.

“We are united and focused. Kano North will stand firmly behind President Tinubu and Governor Abba Yusuf. Our structure is intact, and we will work tirelessly to ensure their victories. By God’s grace, we will deliver landslide votes for President Tinubu, Governor Abba, and all other APC candidates next year,” he stated.
Senator Barau also announced the donation of 26 cars and 141 motorcycles to local government chairmen, vice-chairmen, councillors, and secretaries across 13 LGAs of Kano North. Cars will be given to chairmen and vice-chairmen, while motorcycles will go to councillors and secretaries.

He explained that providing mobility and operational support to grassroots leaders is essential for effective coordination, outreach, and voter engagement ahead of 2027. “Our chairmen, vice-chairmen, councillors, and secretaries are the engine room of our political structure. Supporting them means strengthening our base. With unity and proper mobilisation, Kano North will deliver landslide votes in 2027,” he added.
Emphasizing unity as key to electoral success, Senator Barau urged party members to put aside past differences and work collectively toward a common goal.

Hon. Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe, representing Dawakin Tofa/Tofa/Rimin Gado Federal Constituency, reaffirmed Kano North’s readiness to support President Tinubu and Governor Abba for a second term. “Even when we were in opposition, we acknowledged your tremendous interventions in Kano North. Now that we are in the same party, we will give you maximum cooperation for the development of our region,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the 13 local government chairmen, Hon. Jamilu Danbatta of Danbatta Local Government praised Senator Barau as a transformative leader and pledged full support for President Tinubu, Senator Barau, and Governor Abba.

Rt. Hon. Muhammad Bello Butu-Butu, Deputy Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, also lauded Senator Barau, saying, “Kano North has never had a Senator who has performed tremendously well like Senator Barau. We are proud of him. He has transformed our region, and we cannot thank him enough.”

The meeting, attended by commissioners, national and state assembly members, local government officials, and party stakeholders, concluded with a unified pledge to work toward the reelection of President Tinubu, Senator Barau, and Governor Abba in 2027.
